Functionality Notes:
Star SR-32 was rebuilt with new X&Y ball screws; for gang and X-Ball screw for sub-spindle; new gang Y-axis motor and new guide bushing. Tight tolerance; will hold .0001-.0002 diameter; 2-channel machine which allows main and sub spindles machine concurrently.
Gang has 4 live tools for cross drilling/milling; one additional live tool for gang that allows non-centerline axial drilling/milling on main and sub-spindle; 4 front facing static holders attached to sub-spindle slide forward for face work on main spindle; 4 rear facing static holders for face and side work on sub-spindle with 2nd program channel while main program is working on main spindle. Various rear facing tool holders / sleeves. Many guide bushings, main-spindle collets and sub-spindle collets.
Only run at about 10% over the last 10 years after re-build of ball screws. New guide bushing was installed 2 years ago. Selling because customer needs to upgrade to a 3-channel gang + turret Swiss Machine. Happy with the machine’s quality and longevity; will be replacing it with another Star. Comes with 12-ft bar feeder, chip conveyor, fire suppression system, mist filter.
